Are you tired of failing at weight loss?
Are you struggling with emotional eating?
Are you ready to try God’s approach to weight loss — no diets, detoxes, pills or deprivation?
MY TRANSFORMATION
For nearly twenty-five years, yo-yo dieting was a way of life. I would lose 20 pounds, and regain 30 or 40. Then repeat the same self-destructive cycle over and over again.
At one point, I weighed almost 300 pounds. I suffered with asthma, hypertension, and chronic pain in my back and knees. My clothes got tighter and tighter. I hated to look in the mirror. Every day, little indignities chipped away at my self-esteem:
- Going higher and higher in the plus sizes
- Huffing and puffing while walking up a few stairs
- Dirty looks as I took up more than one seat on the bus or train
At this point, I had to look at my whole life – my spiritual walk, emotional state, lifestyle, and physical health. I committed to strengthening my spiritual walk with God, which helped me get a handle on my emotional eating. I did tons of research and developed a nutritionally sound food plan that helped me lose weight safely, steadily, and without deprivation. By focusing not just on what I was eating but why and not relying on my own willpower but God’s, I lost over 115 pounds. I have been at a healthy weight for over 23 years. I enjoy optimal health. I feel renewed, spiritually led, and fulfilled. I am incredibly blessed.

Elizabeth M. Madison, MA, RDN-CDN
Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist Weight Loss Coach
Elizabeth is not just a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Executive Wellness Coach, and Nutritionist and Wellness Coach; she is a dedicated advocate for holistic well-being with a remarkable personal journey that has fueled her mission. Her passion is guiding individuals toward transformative health and lifestyle changes through a comprehensive approach encompassing body, mind, and spirit.
Having grappled with obesity and emotional eating for nearly twenty-five years, Elizabeth found strength in her faith and, in turn, achieved a remarkable victory. Shedding over 115 pounds and maintaining her weight loss for more than 22 years, Elizabeth felt a divine calling to help others break free from the shackles of obesity and poor health. This calling prompted her transition from a two-decade career as a clinical counselor and administrator in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling to becoming a faith-based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, Executive Wellness Coach, and Certified Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach.
The culmination of Elizabeth's experiences and insights led to "The 7 Spiritual Principles for Optimal Health," a transformative framework that serves as the cornerstone for all her services. Documented in her book, "The 7 Spiritual Principles for Your Weight Loss Transformation, A Faith-Based Approach To Get The Weight Off Forever," these principles provide a detailed roadmap for achieving lasting weight loss and overall wellness.
In 2012, Elizabeth founded her nutrition and wellness company, Elizabeth Madison Nutrition PLLC (EMN), which offers comprehensive services for weight management, diabetes, heart health, and emotional eating. As an Executive Wellness Coach, she extends her expertise to empower leaders in diverse organizations, fostering overall well-being by addressing the social dimensions of health, such as nutrition, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, and fitness.
Elizabeth's commitment to community health is evident in her nonprofit venture, Healthy Living You, Inc. Through grant funding, she spearheads community nutrition and wellness programs for African American communities, including workshops, cooking classes, and supermarket tours. She partners with nonprofit organizations, such as childcare agencies and addiction treatment centers, to develop healthy lifestyle initiatives.
Recognized for her expertise, Elizabeth is a sought-after speaker and trainer for various organizations. She covers various topics, from chronic disease prevention and management to healthy lifestyles, emotional eating, and stress management. Her professional training sessions for nutrition professionals delve into motivational interviewing, cultural competency, and humility.
Collaborating with her husband, Darryl Madison, Elizabeth launched the digital nutrition and wellness magazine "Healthy Living & You" in 2021. This platform is a valuable nutrition and wellness resource for BIPOC communities, sharing insights and advice for a healthier lifestyle.
Elizabeth, with a master's degree from New York University, is currently pursuing her doctorate in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. Her proposed dissertation research explores how, in an urban African American community, does a biopsychosocial-spiritual (BPSS) model-based weight loss program that includes a culturally tailored, evidence-based curriculum and structured faith-based components affect weight loss and weight maintenance success. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in gardening, the beach, and boating, embodying the balanced and vibrant life she advocates for others.
